Our 2018 Charity Work
Dean Williams, managing director at Simpson Group, said:
“We’ve supported numerous charities over the years and when an employee puts forward a charity that’s personal to them, like Panache Group, then all the better as we can see first-hand the effects.
“We understand that we as a business can have an effect on a community and equally we want to contribute to the heartbeat of that community.”
The Great North Air Ambulance
In memory of our colleague Graham McGregor we have continued to support the Great North Air Ambulance. He had worked here at Simpson Group since 1982 as a designer within our CAD department, despite his passing in 2013 we are still yet to fill his position – his loss is felt everyday.
Thanks to the Air Angels, who were first on the scene after the fatal collision, Graham’s devastated family had the chance to say a final goodbye before his death – including his sister who flew to his bedside from Australia.
Our team here will continue to remember Graham fondly by dedicating themselves to the GNAA and raising funds through events such as this in his memory, this includes providing printed materials to the charity and fundraising.
Motor Neurone Disease Association
We have continued to support the Motor Neurone Disease association, an illness that has affected a number of our employee’s friends and family. We have provided printed materials for a number of annual balls and events.
After the founder of Simpson Group, Bill Simpson sadly passed away after a long battle with dementia, the business has continued to contribute to the efforts of raising awareness of the Alzheimer’s Society charity. The business that Bill left has had a positive impact on many families in our community, leaving his legacy we have decided to continue to honour this support.
Together For Short Lives
We have continued to show support for Together for Short lives, a charity dedicated to providing support and assistance to families with children with life limiting conditions. We have shown support by providing printed materials, which have been sent to celebrity sponsors and other supporters of the charity.
